# Image Model Retirement Notice

`step-2x-large` and `step-image-edit-2` were retired on **October 10, 2026**; `step-1x-edit` was already unavailable. The text-to-image, image-to-image, and image editing APIs have stopped serving requests, and further calls do not return valid responses.

> These models and APIs are no longer available. Migrate any remaining workloads to a supported model.

## Affected APIs and impact

The following Open Platform API and Step Plan image APIs stopped serving requests on **October 10, 2026**:

* **Open Platform API and Step Plan**: The image APIs above have stopped serving requests. Other Step Plan models, including text, reasoning, and speech models, are not affected.
* **Studio**: Image generation is no longer available.
